Visit the Ecology Centre in Lynn Canyon Park, North Vancouver. Admission is by donation to the general public, no reservation required. For schools or groups, book your paid visit to the Ecology Centre in advance.

Temperate Rainforest at your Doorstep
Start your exploration of North Vancouver’s temperate rainforest at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre. Learn about local natural history and environmental concerns through interactive nature exhibits and workshops. Talk to our park naturalists for information about local flora and fauna and pick up a park map before heading outside to enjoy Lynn Creek, the Suspension Bridge and our beautiful hiking trails.
The Biggest Bigleaf Maple Contest
Bring in your biggest leaf to enter our competition for the grand prize: $50 in our gift shop.
There will be one winner in each age group:

Call For səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Artists
The Ecology Centre is looking for 1 to 3 səlilwətaɬ, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw, or xʷməθkʷəy̓əm artists to create digital line art illustrations of local animals.
We are updating our Nature Sounds display, part of our kids’ area, inside our nature museum in Lynn Canyon Park. Visitors slide a card through a slot to trigger the sound of an animal. On each card is an illustration and short fact about the animal. We are seeking artists to make small illustrations of each animal.
Deadline to apply is November 9, 2026.
