Visit the Ecology Centre in Lynn Canyon Park. Admission is by donation to the general public, no reservation required. For schools or groups, book your paid visit to the Ecology Centre in advance.

The Biggest Bigleaf Maple Contest!
Congratulations to Melanie who is the first winner of our annual Biggest Bigleaf Maple contest, with a leaf measuring 57 cm! Melanie wins $50 to our gift shop.
Many impressively sized leaves came in, and we enjoyed seeing all the submissions. 🍁 Visit the Ecology Centre in the next couple weeks to see the largest leaves displayed in our window! And check out our next contest….
🌲 Cone Cache Contest 🌲
Bring a cone to add to the community “cache” in the Ecology Centre’s big glass jar. Then guess how many cones will be tucked away by November 30! Don’t forget to tell us what kind of cone you’ve found — Douglas-fir, Hemlock, Cedar, or something else? Closest guess wins $50 in our gift shop.
Temperate Rainforest at your Doorstep
Start your exploration of North Vancouver’s temperate rainforest at the Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre. Learn about local natural history and environmental concerns through interactive nature exhibits and workshops. Talk to our park naturalists for information about local flora and fauna and pick up a park map before heading outside to enjoy Lynn Creek, the Suspension Bridge and our beautiful hiking trails.
