To get to Lynn Canyon Park, take Highway 1 to the Lynn Valley Road (#19) exit. If you are approaching from the west, stay right as you go off the exit, and you will go onto Lynn Valley Road. If you are approaching from the east, take the Lynn Valley road exit and turn right onto Lynn Valley Road. Continue along Lynn Valley Road and go past Lynn Valley Mall. At Peters Road, you will see a sign for Lynn Canyon Park. Turn right at Peters Road. Continue along Peters Road and into the park. Turn left into the park and you will see a parking lot.

Pay Parking

Pay parking is in effect seasonally from March 1 to October 31 from 8 am to 6 pm. Parking is $3 per hour, for a maximum of 4 hours. Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Visa Debit or the HangTag app.

District residents are eligible to purchase an annual DNV Park Parking Pass ($10.00) that allows them to park in the lot without paying the hourly rate. Vehicles with a disability decal are exempt from payment at the lot. See more details here.

There is free parking in the east Lynn Canyon parking lot, located off the northern end of Lillooet Road near the Lower Seymour Conservation Area.

Bus Parking Regulations

Large buses are prohibited from entering the west parking lot at Lynn Canyon, and they are not permitted to stop or park on surrounding neighbourhood streets west of the park entrance. Large buses are defined as having 25+ seats or a gross vehicle weight of 8,850 kg+. Bus operators who do not observe these rules are subject to a fine of up to $500 per infraction.

Large buses may use the free east parking lot located off the northern end of Lillooet Road near the Lower Seymour Conservation Area.

Any smaller bus (24 seats or less, or under 8,850 kg) or large buses for schools, non-profit groups, and DNV-approved community events are still allowed, but you are required to get a permit in advance. Note that, due to capacity limitations, we can only issue a limited number of permits per day, and they are issued on a first come, first served basis.

2024 Bus Fees for 2 hours are:

  • $32.50 (+5% GST) for buses 24 seats or less
  • $56.00 (+5% GST) for buses 25+ seats
