Junior Researchers
Monday, March 16 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Dive into the world of plants and animals in the temperate rainforest! Join Priya Puri from the Raincoast Conservation Foundation, to learn about her work with forest conservation and what it’s like to be a field researcher! You’ll explore Lynn Canyon together to search for animal habitats, food sources, and discover how wildlife can actually change forests.

Rare Creatures of Lynn Canyon Park
Tuesday, March 17 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
From bobcats to otters, lizards and even a seal, you never know what amazing animals you will see in Lynn Canyon Park! Come along to hear stories and see evidence of creatures rarely spotted. This program includes a walk across the suspension bridge to 30 ft pool.

Amazing Hummingbirds
Wednesday, March 18 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Spark your appreciation for the smallest birds in the world, hummingbirds! Join the Vancouver Avian Research Centre to learn about different hummingbird species, their unique features, diets, nests, and migration. Please note this presentation does not include any live birds.

Living with Bears in our Backyards
Tuesday, March 24 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am
Embark on a fascinating journey into the world of black bears with the North Shore Black Bear Society! Discover the amazing world of bear biology, from their life cycle and interesting behaviours to the clever clues they leave behind. Learn how to be bear-wise and what to do if you have a bear encounter.

Birds of Prey
Thursday, March 26 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Meet birds of prey from Raptors Ridge, along with their knowledgeable handler, and learn more about the incredible abilities of birds like hawks, owls and falcons. Raptors Ridge is an educational facility in Maple Ridge committed to wildlife conservation and to educating the public about raptors.
Ages 5+ with an adult. $16 per person (+GST for ages 15+).

Chickadee Bird House Building
Saturday, March 28 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm & 2:00 to 3:00 pm
Join us to build chickadee houses! At this hands-on workshop, families will learn about chickadees and build a house from repurposed wood. Your family will have the opportunity to build one box and bring it home.
Ages 5+. $26.50 per family (+GST).
