Accessibility
Lynn Canyon Park
Lynn Canyon Park has trails with many stairs, rocks, roots, and mud. The park is often cooler and rainier than other parts of Metro Vancouver, and trail conditions vary throughout the year.
There are a few trails with flatter or gravel surfaces, and we are able to adapt some programs to take place on these trails. Programs that take place at the creek are less accessible for those with mobility-related disabilities.
For current trail and weather conditions, please contact us.
Buildings
The Ecology Centre is wheelchair-accessible, and our alternate teaching space in the Lynn Canyon Cafe has both stairs and an elevator.
There are accessible parking spaces available close to the Ecology Centre. There is also a wheelchair accessible, gender-neutral bathroom in Lynn Canyon Park, located down a paved road on the side of the Lynn Canyon Cafe building.
Teaching
Many of our programs can be adapted to work with your accessibility needs. A few programs take place at the creek, and these are less accessible for those with mobility-related disabilities. Please contact us to learn more about the accessibility of these programs, or read the specific accessibility statements provided in the registration description.
We welcome neurodivergent children and children with physical, learning, and other disabilities. EAs and parent assistants are welcome in our programs. Please contact us to let us know about your children’s support needs and to let us know if someone will be accompanying your child. This helps us plan a more accessible program.
Our Website
We are committed to improving the accessibility of our website. Please contact us to provide your feedback on how we can improve.
