Treetop Tales

Join us for nature stories at the Ecology Centre on Fridays* from 11:00 am to 11:30 am. Suitable for ages 2 and up, with an adult. No registration required. By donation, cash and card accepted. The Ecology Centre is an accessible building.

*Friday, December 19 is the last Treetop Tales of 2025! Resuming on Friday, January 9, 2026.

Embrace Your Inner Wolf

Saturday, January 31 from 12:30 to 2 pm

Join Chavon Robertshaw, Wolf Program Coordinator and Wildlife Technician with Raincoast Conservation, for an interactive introduction to the incredible world of wolves in British Columbia. Explore what a day in the life of a wolf looks like, why wolves are essential to healthy ecosystems, and the tools researchers use to study them in the wild. Afterward, head outdoors for a guided wolf-themed walk and get hands-on experience setting up and testing a wildlife trail camera!

Ages 7-14 with an adult. $16 per child, includes 1 adult.

Honey, I Enlarged the Forest!

Sunday, February 8 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm

Enjoy a nature walk to collect tiny treasures, then gather indoors to magnify their incredible details!

Ages 5+ with an adult. $16 per person (+GST for ages 15+) or free for members.

Forest Explorers

Discover the secrets of the temperate rainforest, read stories, go on a forest walk and make a craft. All children attending must be between the ages of 2 to 5, except for babies in a carrier. These adult participation programs run both inside and outside, so dress for the weather!

$16 per child, includes 1 adult. Full refunds are available up until 2 weeks before each program. Non-transferable.

Do you have bat ears and eagle eyes?  Learn how animals use their super senses to hunt, hide, and survive in the rainforest. Use your own senses and discover how you can watch for signs and sounds of animals in the forest.

Earth Keepers

Celebrate the changing season by discovering how the earth “wakes up” in spring—explore soil, tiny sprouts, and the creatures that help care for our forest, then head outside for hands-on earth-friendly fun.

Discovery Days

Join us on a weekend family adventure in the forest! Discovery Days programs are for families with children ages 3-8. You’ll enjoy a forest walk, story, and hands-on activities as you learn about plants and animals.

Evergreen Exploring

Learn about the largest inhabitants of Lynn Canyon! What’s up with the trees, mosses, and lichens that stay green even in the darkest times of year? Make a craft that preserves a bit otree to enjoy at home.
